I am a doctoral student at the University of Idaho in the Wichman/Miller/Bull Bacteriophage Lab. I have always loved nature and the outdoors. During my undergrad at Eastern Washington University I became fascinated with microbes as I studied how tiny wasps weaponize a pox virus to help their young survive. Now I am looking at viruses as a way to fight antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
